Introducing my first art print: Empress of Flame

Hello Friends,

I’m thrilled to share my latest art print, which is born from a deeply personal journey. As I navigated through the struggles of surviving breast cancer, I was also reminded of the power of friendship, love, and resilience. This print embodies all those sentiments, and I can't wait for you to see it!

The meaning behind the design

At the heart of my new art print is a story reminiscent of the challenges faced during breast cancer treatment. My best friend designed a beautiful ring for me, incorporating three colours, each representing vital elements of my ongoing journey. These colours serve as the foundation of the print, symbolising the values that kept us going through the toughest times.

The vibrant pink stone in the ring represents femininity and power, reminding me of the strength inherent in every woman, especially in times of adversity. The blood-red stone symbolises the pain I endured—the blood, sweat, and tears, both literal and metaphorical, that accompanied the trials of my battle. And at the centre, the diamond represents me, unwavering and unbreakable, no matter how immense the pressure.

Creating my first art print

The process of creating this art print was incredibly therapeutic. I wanted to channel my emotions and experiences into a piece that tells our story. Each brush stroke served as a way to express the deep appreciation I have for my support network. I chose a watercolour style to give it a soft, yet impactful look, allowing the colours to blend as beautifully as our stories intertwined.

This art print is not just a decorative piece; it is a celebration of life, resilience, and the comforting concept that we are never alone, even in our darkest hours. I hope that when others view it, they will feel inspired by its message, just as I was inspired by millions of others also embarking on their own journey.
